An ACOG (Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight) is a series of magnified Telescopic Sights made by the American company Trijicon. Their scopes commonly offer a magnification of 4x, meaning anything viewed down the scope will be four times bigger than when viewed normally. Usually, ACOG scopes utilize luminescent materials such as Tritium or optical fibers to improve aiming and target acquisition. The ACOG series of weapon scopes is used by the US Armed Forces, as well as parts of other nations' armies such as the British Armed Forces.

The ACOG is a weapon attachment in the Rainbow Six universe.

Raven Shield[]

"The Mini Scope is a 3.5x power scope that easily attaches to most weapons. While it is very useful for long-range shots, it occupies considerable screen space, reducing your field of vision."
— In-game Description

The Mini Scope is a optical attachment featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield.

The scope provides a 3.5x zoom when aiming down-to-sights, making it an excellent option for long range engagements with enemies. Despite this, the scope significantly reduces the player's field of vision which can be cumbersome when engaged in close range firefights.

Lockdown[]

"Increases zoom magnification of the selected weapon."
— In-game description

The Scope is a weapon attachment in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Lockdown.

In the PC version of the game, the Scope is available to all primary weapons except the PP-M1, SP M4, M249SPW, M60E4, SW 12 and the GL69A. The Scope increases zoom upon the weapon when aiming down the sights.

Vegas 1 & 2[]

"The rugged ACOG is the preferred gunsight of US forces and police sniper units."
— In-game description

The ACOG Scope is a weapon attachment featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas and returns in the same configuration in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. The ACOG replaces a weapon's default iron sights and adds a 4x scope that the player is able to view through. The ACOG Scope can only be equipped to assault rifles in-game. The attachment cannot be equipped to light machine guns, sniper rifles, shotguns, and submachine guns.

Note: If a player is looking through an ACOG Scope behind cover in third person view, the player's whole view is zoomed in with the sight's corner zooming in to the ends of the screen.

Siege[]

The ACOG Sight is a weapon attachment featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. It was reworked into four sights in the Operation Shadow Legacy expansion: the Scope 1.5x, Scope 2x , Scope 2.5x (formerly ACOG), and Scope 3x. [1]

Scope 1.5x[]

"Provides a 1.5x magnification for long distance engagements."
— In-game description

The Scope 1.5x replaces the default iron sight, providing a 1.5x scope for players to view through. The scope provides a compromise between short and long angles. It allows players to engage in close quarters while still providing a comfortable zoom level to fight at the average killing distance (10 meters).

The Scope 1.5x is widely available across Assault rifles, Submachine Guns, Marksman Rifles and Light Machine Guns.

Scope 2.5x[]

"Provides a 2.5x magnification for long distance engagements."
— In-game description

The Scope 2.5x, formerly the ACOG, replaces the default iron sight, providing a 2.5x magnification for players to view through. This allows players to easily aim at targets from a farther distance than other available sights, with the caveat that recoil becomes harder to control, and shooting at close-distance targets becomes harder.

Two variants of the Scope 2.5x are available, NATO and Russian. The NATO variant displays an arrow with gradings; the tip of the arrow pointing to the target being aimed at. The Russian variant offers a different design and reticle featuring a center dot and two rings.

The Scope 2.5x is primarily available to Assault Rifles, Light Machine Guns, and Marksman Rifles.

Extraction[]

The ACOG Sight refers to two weapon attachments featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction: the Scope 1.5x and Scope 2.5x. Both function in a similar manner to their counterparts in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, replacing the default iron sight.

Mobile[]

This section is currently under construction. It may contain little or inaccurate information.

The ACOG is a weapon attachment featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Mobile. It replaces a weapon's default iron sight and provides a magnification increase to engage enemies at longer ranges.

Variants[]

Three variants of the ACOG are available: the ACOG-1.5x, ACOG-2x, and ACOG-2.5x. As their names suggest, they provide 1.5x, 2x, and 2.5x magnification respectively. Like other attachments, they are unlocked for compatible weapons by progressing an Operator's Mastery Track. Each variant of the ACOG is available for all Assault Rifles, Designated Marksman Rifles, and Light Machine Guns.

Trivia[]

Siege[]

  • The Russian Scope 2.5x is based on the PK-AS rather than the ACOG; the ACOG is specifically a series of Trijicon-manufactured scopes.
  • The Scope 2.5x is based on the Trijicon ACOG TA31F 4x32 BAC.
  • The Scope 1.5x is based on the Trijicon ACOG TA44 1.5x16S.
  • The default ACOG was renamed Scope 2.5x in the Operation Shadow Legacy update.[2]
  • Prior to Operation Shadow Legacy, the default ACOG incorrectly offered a 3.0x zoom instead of the intended 2.5x. This has since been fixed.
  • After the attachment system changes in Operation Deadly Omen, the 1.5x scope was changed to have a 2.5x zoom level along with having a larger dot in the centre of the sight.
