AK-74 Assault Rifle 5.45mm The AK-74 assault rifle comes directly from the AK-47, but is chambered for a 5.45mm round, similar to the 5.56mm NATO round, and upgraded with bakelite furniture. When compared to M16, AK-74 shows slightly worse accuracy, but better reliability in battle environment and lower maintenance requirements.
