Siege[]

"Short to medium range submachine gun with high rate of fire and mobility. Best used in close quarters."
— In-game description

The Bearing 9 is a machine pistol featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, introduced in the Operation Red Crow expansion. It is available for use by both SAT Operators , Thunderbird, Glaz, and Tachanka.

Overview[]

The Bearing 9 has a high rate of fire and a rather large magazine capacity. This weapon features a high vertical recoil like most Machine Pistols, but is relatively easy to control thanks to its especially mild horizontal recoil, making it an excellent option for close to medium range engagements. However, long-range engagements will still require careful tap-firing.

Pros[]

  • Very high rate of fire
  • High damage output
  • Relatively low horizontal recoil
  • Above-average magazine capacity

Cons[]

It has a high rate of fire and a rather large magazine capacity. However, long-range engagements will still require careful tap-firing.

Trivia[]

  • The Bearing 9 was originally classified as a Submachine Gun in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege.
  • The weapon has two empty reload animations, one for using the iron sights and one for using any sight attachments on the weapon.
  • The odd designation is likely a reference to what Minebea stands for (Nippon Miniature Bearing Company).
  • The weapon functions ingame as a closed-bolt machine gun, despite the real life variant, and ingame model being open bolt. This means it would be impossible for this gun to have a +1 ammo capacity
