The Compensator is a weapon attachment featured in several installments of the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Franchise.
Siege[]
- "Reduces horizontal movement while shooting."
— In-game description
The Compensator is a weapon attachment featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. It reduces the horizontal recoil by 35%.[1]
The Recoil Diamond is the individual points of a recoil pattern when aiming down sight, reducing the randomization of bullet patterns during muzzle climb. The shape of the muzzle climb differs between guns, some being taller, others wider, therefore a reduction of the diamond makes the climb straighter and more predictable.
This attachment is best used for weapons with inherently low vertical recoil, and are used for close to medium range combat.

Mobile[]
The Compensator is a weapon attachment featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Mobile. It is available for all weapons. As with other attachments, it is unlocked for a weapon by progressing the associated Operator's Mastery Track.
The Compensator grants a large increase to a weapon's horizontal recoil as well as a slight increase to a weapon's recoil stage length. This increases a weapon's accuracy. The downside to the Compensator is that it reduces a weapon's ADS speed, lowering its handling. On Shotguns, the Compensator has the opposite effect. It grants a large increase to a Shotgun's sprint to fire speed, increasing its handling. It also lowers a shotguns hit fire spread, lowering its accuracy.
