The Compensator is a weapon attachment featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. It reduces the random recoil (diamond) by 17.75%.[1]
The Recoil Diamond is the individual points of a recoil pattern when aiming down sight, reducing the randomization of bullet patterns during muzzle climb. The shape of the muzzle climb differs between guns, some being taller, others wider, therefore a reduction of the diamond makes the climb straighter and more predictable.
This attachment is best used for weapons with inherently low vertical recoil, and are used for close to medium range combat.
