Identification of an Exogenous Organism (XO) results in the immediate mobilization of REACT Operations and Logistics.
OBJECTIVES:
- - Prevent further contamination of environment and spread of organism
- - Provide secure facilities for in situ stud of XO
- - Install equipment and infrastructure to permit incursions
- - Prepare for end state Area Neutralization (if necessary)
PHASE 1: Area Preparation and Sterilization Establish sterile perimeter (50m wide) around Hot-Zone. Requires removal of structures, landscape features and foliage using surgical demolition and incendiary devices. (INSERT: Sledge - My favorite part of any Op.)
PHASE 2: Staging and Initial Containment Rapid construction of large-scale structural containment (dome or hermetically sealed barrier). Specifications based on various factors (QUERY: geography, geology, severity of XO threat). Use of prefabricated structural elements allows initial containment within 20 hours of deployment.
PHASE 3: Establish Hot-Zone Infrastructure Delivery, assembly, and positioning of modular workspaces (PODS) within the containment structure. Division of Hot-Zone into Sub-Zones using Airlock Labs.
