Dieter Weber is a German Rainbow operative that appears in several installments of the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Franchise.

Dieter Weber was born in Munich, Germany on July 9, 1971. His father was an ironworker, and his mother is deceased. Weber is a graduate of the German Army's Bergführer ("Mountain Leader") school, one of the physically toughest schools in the world. After that, he joined Grenzschutzgruppe 9 (GSG 9). The unit (which means "Border Control Group 9") is Germany's special counterterrorism team. After distinguishing himself in service to GSG-9, Weber was recruited into Rainbow in 1999. He is fluent in English and German. His marksmanship is only matched by a few members on the team, and he is an excellent hand-to-hand combatant, trained in Tae Kwon Do. Unmarried.

Weber is another one of Rainbow's snipers. While he has great firearms and stealth skill levels, he's not the best leader. You may want to control him, however, so either put him in charge of a small team or keep him alone at a distance from the action to supply fire support.

Weber is a competitive, disciplined soldier who finds tranquility and happiness in the outdoors. He delights in solitary activities, such as hunting and climbing. Most of his social interactions with the rest of the team are through direct competition. An exception to this is his routine workout with Price, whom Weber secretly regards as something of a role model. He tends to come across as somewhat stiff, even awkward in social situations. However, after a few beers, his warmer side emerges, and he tends to regale fellow drinkers with hilarious stories, most of which have been embellished beyond recognition.

Psychological Profile[]

Weber is fluent in German and English, to the point that Chavez noted his English to be better than his own. His marksmanship is only matched by a few members on the team such as Homer Johnston. He spends his free time hunting with Johnston, working out with Price, and practicing Taekwondo.
