Trivia[]

Vegas[]

  • Much like the AUG in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, the AUG Para lacks a fire selector in real life, and instead has a two stage trigger that acts as a fire selector for the weapon. In-game, the weapon is incorrectly shown to have a fire selector, despite this not being possible in real life.
  • In Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, the in-game name of AUG A3 is misleading as the weapon is actually an AUG A3 9mm XS, an updated version of the AUG Para based on the AUG A3 assault rifle.

Siege & Extraction[]

  • The in-game name of AUG A3 is misleading to the real-life model since the weapon is actually an AUG A3 9mm XS, an updated version of the AUG Para based on the AUG A3 assault rifle. The main difference between the AUG A3 and the GSG 9's AUG A2 is that the A2 has a raised top rail, while the A3 has a flat-top. The AUG A3 9mm XS also has an underbarrel rail in place of the AUG A2's built-in foregrip. The AUG A3 assault rifle, however, can have either a built-in grip or an underbarrel rail.
  • The sight rail is for some reason skeletonized, whereas the real-life one is solid.
  • The real-life AUG A3 9mm XS uses a 32-round magazine, meaning that it should have a capacity of 32+1 instead of the current game's 31+1 capacity.
    • This may have been an error in the programming, as the description of the weapon also claims that it has a 32-round magazine.
