The Five-seven, trademarked as the Five-seveN, is a semi-automatic pistol manufactured by FN Herstal that chambers the 5.7x28mm round. The pistol is named for the round it chambers. The trademark capitalization style is intended to emphasize the manufacturer's initials—FN. The Five-seveN was made as a companion weapon to the P90, since they both chamber the same round.

Along with the original Five-seven, there is another variant of the weapon that exists in the Rainbow Six universe. These variants is the 5.7 USG.

  • The Five-Seven USG, an abbreviation for United States Government, is a variant listed as a sporting firearm in 2004. It has either adustable or fixed iron sights, an attached Picatinny rail, a magazine safety mechanism and a reversible magazine release.

The Five-seven and Five-seven USG are categorized as handguns in the Rainbow Six universe.

Rogue Spear[]

The 5.7mm Belgian Pistol is a weapon featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear, introduced in the Black Thorn expansion.

Designed as an ARMY pistol with high armor-piercing capabilities. Low recoil and high magazine capacity make this handgun a good defensive firearm against personnel in bulletproof jackets or in unarmored vehicles.

Siege[]

"Semi-automatic pistol with low-caliber, high-velocity rounds. Used by FBI SWAT."
— In-game description

The 5.7 USG is a weapon featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. It is available for use by all FBI SWAT Operators, Nøkk, Zero and Fenrir.[1]

Overview[]

The 5.7 USG is a handgun that sacrifices damage for having the highest magazine capacity of all handguns. It also has a decent hip fire accuracy. While its high capacity does increase room for error, it's relatively sub-par in close-range engagements due to its somewhat underwhelming damage.

Zero's 5.7 USG comes pre-attached with a Suppressor, and cannot equip a different muzzle attachment.

Pros[]

  • High magazine capacity

Cons[]

  • Subpar damage output
  • Low reserve ammo

Learning Area[]

There are two Situations where a 5.7 USG is wielded. The Suburban Extraction Situation has an FBI SWAT Recruit equipped with an R4-C and a 5.7 USG as a sidearm. The Tubular Assault Situation has the Operator Ash equipped with a G36C and a 5.7 USG. In Both Situations, the 5.7 USG is equipped with the Muzzle Brake.
