Dr. Harishva "Harry" Pandey (Hindi: हरिश्व पाण्डेय), codenamed Six, was the former head of Rainbow after the departure of his predecessor, Aurelia Arnot.[1]
Background[]
Hailing from India, Harry was known to have married and had a son at some point. Following the reactivation of Rainbow in 2015, Harry acted as Aurelia's psychological and military culture advisor. His primary function was to aid in the screening and selection of candidates, ensuring they meshed well with the team as a whole. In 2019, Aurelia accepted the position as the US Secretary of State. With her recommendation, and based on his familiarity with the members of Rainbow, Harry accepted the role of "Six".[2]
Intimidated by his new role as Six, Harry did not feel it appropriate that the Operators refer to him by his new codename. Instead he repeatedly told them to "call me Harry". Harry sought to improve the synergies of each Operator and began to perform psych evaluations on every Operator to gain a better understanding of them. Additionally, he made Elena "Mira" Álvarez the acting Director of Rainbow's R&D division in order for her to make improvements on all Operator equipment. Harry conceived The Program as a result of the continued global threat of terrorists. It was Harry's belief that if Operators had a place to live and train together, they would have a better understanding of one another and became stronger teammates as a result. Harry later found an abandoned Stadium in Elis, Greece and had it renovated to serve this purpose. To ensure the safety of each Operator, Harry had Mira develop the SIM-SUIT so that simulated rounds could provide realistic feedback akin to real ammunition.
Harry later invited Jaimini Shah, and by extension, Nighthaven to join Rainbow. Officially, this was done in response to Nighthaven answering a distress call on the super tanker Argus. Harry secretly wanted to prevent an opposing organization from hiring NIGHTHAVEN and to keep a close eye on them. Despite this, Eliza "Ash" Cohen strongly opposed their inclusion, stating that it was a mistake to recruit a PMC into the organization. Harry attempted to justify his reasoning but Cohen remained unconvinced.
In January 2020, Harry launched the first annual Six Invitational at the Stadium. Under the guise of a public training exercise for CTUs across the globe, the tournament served as an annual test of everything the Operators had learned since The Program had started. In August 2020, Harry established the Rainbow Operation Staff which sought to recruit instructors that were specialized in several areas of expertise. Harry recruited Sam Fisher as the first instructor of ROS after the two made a deal for Fisher to use it as a cover while he gathered information on an outside threat.
On October 31st, 2020, Harry traveled to Bangkok to attend the Loi Krathong festival. He was later contacted by Elena Álvarez who informed him that Jaimini Shah was also in Bangkok and that she was "recruiting a new expert" to join NIGHTHAVEN.
In late 2020, Harry chose four team captains to lead teams for the Six Invitational: Eliza "Ash" Cohen, Chul "Vigil" Hwa, Elena "Mira" Álvarez, and Vicente "Capitão" Souza. While going over the rosters for each team, Harry made it clear that they could not trade teammates with one another and that each of them must learn to lead Operators from various background and specializations. A few months later in at the conclusion of the Invitational, Kali secured Team Ash's victory in the tournament. However, her disregard for the safety of her teammates as well as the fact that she had used Ash as bait made Harry and Fisher feel uneasy. Not long after, a brawl erupted in the lockers rooms between Kali and Ash, resulting in a large division between various Operators within Rainbow.
Despite this, Harry did not discipline Kali or Ash. Over the next year, Harry was unaware of Kali's plan to poach Rainbow Operators for Nighthaven or Ash's orders for Santiago "Flores" Lucero to spy on them. This culminated in early 2022 at the conclusion of that year's Six Invitational. Kali officially cut Nighthaven's ties with Rainbow and managed to recruit five Rainbow Operators. With the loss of ten Operators from the organization, morale was at an all time low.
While he knew Nighthaven's actions were not entirely unexpected, he felt that it had to happen as they needed personnel loyal to Rainbow and their initial mandate. Unable to keep Nighthaven from opposing them any longer, Harry sent Meghan "Valkyrie" Castellano to Singapore to retrieve schematics and perform reconnaissance of Nighthaven's headquarters and activities. Meanwhile, Harry noted the increased criminal activity throughout the world and decided to reorganize Rainbow's operating structure into four teams, each having a specialized role. He subsequently chose Jordan "Thermite" Trace, Yumiko "Hibana" Imagawa, Gustave "Doc" Kateb, and Taina "Caveira" Pereira as team leaders. To help prevent interpersonal friction, Harry largely avoided placing Operators who did not work well together on the same teams.

In 2023, an enigmatic individual and former Rainbow operative known as Deimos presented a trap to Harry, exposing a vulnerability that Harry's operators subsequently fell victim to. Deimos conveyed to Harry that each Rainbow operator would start to die one-by-one, having previously made known his belief that Harry had brought shame to his unit. Shortly thereafter, Harry spoke his last words before Deimos fired a fatal shot into his chest, resulting in his death. Deimos remarks that he will tell the team that he goes out swinging.
