This article, Scope, is a stub and may require expansion. Please help out by editing the page.
For the specific type of scope featured in multiple installments, see ACOG.

A telescopic sight, commonly called a scope for short, is an optical sighting device based on a refracting telescope. It is equipped with some form of a referencing pattern – known as a reticle – mounted in a focally appropriate position in its optical system to provide an accurate point of aim. Telescopic sights are used with all types of systems that require magnification in addition to reliable visual aiming, as opposed to non-magnifying iron sights, reflex sights, holographic sights or laser sights, and are most commonly found on long-barrel firearms, particularly rifles, usually via a scope mount. The optical components may be combined with optoelectronics to form a digital night scope or a "smart scope".

Main article: Scope/Siege

Aside from the two variants of the ACOG sight, two variants of the telescopic sight are featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Scope 2.0x[]

"Provides a 2.0x magnification for long distance engagements."
— In-game description

The Scope 2.0x is a weapon attachment featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, introduced in the Operation Shadow Legacy expansion.[1]

As with other optic sights, it replaces the default iron sight and provides a 2.0x magnification for players to view through. Unlike the Scope 2.5x, the Scope 2.0 features a much slimmer frame. This advantage is offset by a blind spot on the top left of the scope.

The Scope 2.0x is primarily available on Assault Rifles, Light Machine Guns, Marksman Rifles and slug-firing Shotguns.

Scope 3.0x[]

"Provides a 3.0x magnification for long distance engagements."
— In-game description

The Scope 3.0x is a weapon attachment featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, introduced in the Operation Shadow Legacy expansion.[2]

As with other optic sights, it replaces the default iron sight and provides a 3.0x magnification for players to view through. This allows players to easily aim at targets from a farther distance than all the other available sights, with the caveat that recoil becomes harder to control, and shooting at close-distance targets becomes harder.

Extraction[]

"Provides a 2.0x magnification for long distance engagements."
— In-game description

The Scope 2.0x is a weapon attachment featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction. It replaces the default iron sight and provides a 2.0x magnification for players to view through.
