G36C IRL

The G36C is a subcarbine variant of the G36. Unlike the G36K, it has a shorter barrel and has either a four-prong open-type flash hider or a birdcage type flash hider. It is widely used by both the British and U.S. police departments and counter-terrorism units.[1]

Black Arrow[]

The G36C is a weapon featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow. In-game, it is always fitted with a C-more Reflex Sight. The G36C appears as Ding Chavez's signature weapon and is also featured prominently on the box art of the game.

Vegas[]

The G36C is a weapon featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas.

Singleplayer[]

The G36C is an average weapon in story mode. Ammunition for it is not that prevalent with this weapon since Terrorists barely use it. Players will often find themselves only resupplying ammo at supply caches. The weapon's sights are good, and offer lots of peripheral vision, so another sight is not recommended.

The G36C is essentially a 552 Commando with lower damage and penetration, but with better accuracy and range. The weapon is extremely controllable in full-auto fire, so a Laser Sight is a perfect match for the weapon, if the player should find themselves in a close quarter situation. It is the character Jung Park's signature "loud" weapon whenever the player is with him.

Multiplayer[]

The weapon in multiplayer performs rather unfavorably compared to others in the game. It is unlocked by default, but other weapons pass this up by a long shot. Players will constantly find themselves killed repeatedly in close quarter encounters, but the weapon performs ideally at range. Engaging enemies at a medium to long range is the best option for this weapon.

Siege[]

"Assault rifle with medium recoil. Takes 5.56mm caliber ammunition."
— In-game description

The G36C is an assault rifle featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. It is available for use by Ash and Iana.

Overview[]

The G36C comes with slightly sub-par damage output and average rate of fire, making it a decent middle ground for engaging targets at any range while being powerful enough to down Defenders.

The G36C's recoil is relatively simple as it goes straight up. Its vertical recoil remains low regardless of muzzle attachment. Therefore, the Compensator is recommended as it's best at reducing the sudden horizontal bounces that kick in from the 4th shot onwards.

Pros[]

  • Low vertical and horizontal recoil
  • Average rate of fire

Cons[]

  • Subpar damage output

Situations[]

In the Tubular Assault Situation, the Operator Ash is equipped with her G36C and a 5.7 USG as a sidearm. It is equipped with the Reflex SightVertical Grip, and Compensator as its attachments.
