George is a character featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Lockdown. He appears in the mission Operation Ricochet on consoles and University on PC. He is the acting US Deputy Director of Homeland Security.

Biography

George Burdell is the acting Deputy Director of the United States Department of Homeland Security. On June 10, 2009, Burdell was one of the many government officials that were conducting a special session at Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh, Scotland. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss ways to conduct counterterrorism in the European Union as well as efforts to stop illegal weapon smuggling.

During the session, however, Parliament was attacked by the Global Liberation Front and Burdell was one of the many individuals taken hostage. Before Rainbow could arrive to rescue the hostages, Burdell and the UK Minister of Defense Adam Shields were removed from Parliament and relocated to a building at Scotland University. Domingo Chavez successfully infiltrated the facility and was able to rescue Burdell and Shields.

Trivia

While Burdell and Shields appear on both console and PC, they are not directly named in the PC version of the game.
In the PC version of the game, Burdell and Shields were taken hostage by the Revolutionary Brotherhood terrorist organization instead of the GLF.
