The Glock 17, also known as the G17, is a 9x19mm Parabellum semi-automatic pistol developed in 1982 by Glock Ges.m.b.H., and is the first Glock pistol produced, so named because it was the seventeenth patent for Glock. It features a 4.5-inch/10.1-cm barrel and the standard magazine capacity is 17 rounds. The Glock 17 has been also designed in a selective fire variant, known as the Glock 18, and as another variant in a smaller build, as the Glock 19.
