"Play a 5v5 match where only headshots count and eliminate the opponent in one hit."
— In-game Description

Headshots Only, also known as Headshot is a gamemode available in the Arcade playlist. The gamemode was initially introduced in the North Star expansion and was available from July 15th, 2021 to July 19th, 2021. It returned during the Demon Veil expansion and was available from March 31st, 2022 to April 5th, 2022.[1] The gamemode can now be played at any time following the implementation of the permanent Arcade Playlist in the Operation Dread Factor expansion.[2]

Overview[]

The mode is a variant of Secure Area. A round is won once a team has reached 90 kills. Players can only be killed by headshots and will not enter DBNO. Like Deathmatch, respawning is enabled. The gamemode does not have a preparation phase as the Attackers already know the whereabouts of the objective. Reinforcements are also unavailable in the mode.

Attackers are adorned in silver all over their bodies except their heads while Defenders are adorned in gold. Operators have fixed loadouts and unique gadgets are replaced with a second regular gadget. Atrackers are equipped with Stun Grenades and Breach Charges while Defenders have acces to Barbed Wire and Bulletproof Cameras.

Operators[]

26 Operators are available for use with modified loadouts:

Team Silver[]

Team Gold[]

Maps[]

Five maps are available in the gamemode.
