Yumiko "Hibana" Imagawa is an Attacking Operator featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, introduced in the Operation Red Crow expansion.[1]
Biography
Born and raised in Nagoya, Japan, Imagawa is an expert at gaining entry in high risk areas. A skilled martial artist, she joined the National Police Academy when she was 18 years old. Nicknamed Hibana due to her explosive leadership on the field, she acquired a rare tactical versatility while training with the FBI SWAT and GIGN. A team player and expert at onrush tactics, she was recruited by the Aichi Prefectural Police Department Special Unit.[2]

Gameplay Description
- Hibana is an aggressive alternative to Thermite using the X-KAIROS launcher to create murder holes in reinforced walls and the fast movement speed allows the user to flank enemies or flee.
- Hibana's pellets can be rendered inoperable if it comes into contact with an electrified reinforcement, forcing the user to destroy the Shock Wire by any means or try a different method of entry.
- As an electronic gadget, Hibana's X-KAIROS can be negated by Mute's Signal Disruptors, in a similar vein to Thermite's Exothermic Charges. Simply have Thatcher and/or Twitch use their unique gadgets will remedy this problem.

Loadout Description
Partaking in a Special Operation conference in Jordan, Imagawa met Operator Jordan Trace, a pioneer in Brimstone BC-3 Exothermic experiments. She collaborated with him to develop the “X-KAIROS,” a 40 mm caliber launcher. The X-KAIROS fires explosive pellets that can be detonated simultaneously from a distance.[2]

- Hibana (火花, ひばな) means "Spark" in Japanese. However, literally translated, it also means "Fire Flower", which is what her pellets also resemble.
- X-KAIROS as a word (Kairos) means "a propitious moment for decision or action" in Greek, referring to both Hibana's aggressive playstyle and her ability to give such a moment with her gadget.
- Text written on her battledress indicates that the kanji for her surname, Imagawa, is 今川.
