Ryad "Jackal" Ramírez Al-Hassar is an Attacking Operator featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, introduced in the Operation Velvet Shell expansion alongside Mira.[1]

Biography

Ryad Ramírez Al-Hassar was nine years old during Spain’s political transition but did not feel the full the impact of these changes until later on. His focus was somewhere else entirely, as he was shifted from one dysfunctional family to the next. A few years later, Ramírez was taken out of the foster care system by his older brother, Faisal, who was now old enough to become his legal guardian.

The Ramírez brothers first appeared in official records on October 8th, 1985 when Ryad was found next to his brother’s dead body in an abandoned house in El Principe Alfonso. Ryad was 17 years old and required urgent medical assistance. With no witness, no murder weapon, and no clear motive, the local authorities treated Faisal’s death as an inconclusive case of street violence.

After that night, Ryad was determined to unravel the events that lead to the loss of his brother. When he turned 19, he finally passed the mandatory qualifications and entered the Cuerpo Nacional de Policía. To further hone his skills on the field, he became a member of the G.E.O.[2]

Gameplay Description

Jackal's visor can be switched on and off at any time. It has no battery life or cooldowns. With visor activated, Jackal can see footprints. He can also interact with one footprint to determine whose it is (visor can be used 3 times on different footprints). After successfully interacting with it, footprint's host is going to be "pinged" (like by Drone or CCTV) every 10 seconds (for a minute, so six times throughout the match). Getting shot or being near Mute's Signal Disruptors while using visor will create static decreasing Jackal's visibility (it's recommended to switch off visor in combat situations).

Eyenox Model III

Inspired by the FBI’s Quick Capture Platform, the Eyenox Model III was created to offer a mobile tracking device able to both identify and trail a person’s footprints in real-time. This forensic tool was first used to track terrorist cells back to hidden cave complex in the mountains of Afghanistan. Equipped with advanced computer vision, the Eyenox detects invisible details relating to footfall and weight distribution so that you can identify and stalk your target.[3]
