Overview Take-Down Siege

"Submachine gun in a compact AR package and caliber. Offers medium-range accuracy."
— In-game description

The K1A is a submachine gun featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. It was introduced in the Operation White Noise expansion and is available for use by the Operator Vigil.[1]

The K1A is an improved version of the original K1 carbine. It was equipped with a different flash suppressor, which has three holes in the top right quadrant to limit muzzle flip under rapid fire and reduces flash to one-third of the original's flash.

In-game, the K1A is capable of taking down Light Armored Operators in three body shots within its effective range. However, it will take an additional body shot to take down the other two Armor Types. When equipped with a Suppressor, the K1A will take down Light and Medium Armored Operators in four body shots, while the Heavy Armored Operators take five instead.

The weapon has a high damage output and an average rate of fire. Combined with its gentle recoil, it makes the K1A a deadly and versatile weapon.

  • Above-average damage per shot
  • Low recoil

  • Mediocre rate of fire
  • Low suppressor damage

  • Since the K1A fires in an intermediate cartridge, it should not be classified as a submachine gun, but rather a carbine. However, this isn't completely erroneous, as the South Korean military classifies the weapon as a submachine gun.
  • The K1A model is fitted with a folding Z-M LR 300 stock instead of its original collapsible stock.
