M.U.T.E. Protocol: Flesh & Metal, also known as M.U.T.E. Protocol Reloaded, is a limited-time event in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege that was introduced during the Operation Vector Glare expansion. A follow-up of the M.U.T.E. Protocol event, it is available from August 2nd, 2022 to August 23rd, 2022.

Setting

The event takes place in the far future following the battle that took place on M.U.T.E Tower during the M.U.T.E. Protocol. A new organic faction emerges as robotics and organics continue to fight to gain control of the Tower which has since received several upgrades.

Gameplay

The event introduces the Arms Race gamemode. Taking placed on an updated version of the M.U.T.E Tower map, it pits two teams of five against one another with the objective of destroying the Brain Case on the map. With respawning enabled, each round lasts 6 minutes and 45 seconds and takes place on a different floor of the tower.

At the start of each round, Organic Operators start with the FMG-9 while Robotic Operators start with the MP5K. Operators are unable to use their abilities and are instead able to perform the Remah Dash without taking damage. Each kill will upgrade a player to a new tier and replace their weapon with another. There are ten tiers with the final tier being the Golden Hammer which is the only weapon that can destroy the objective. Should a player die, they will be downgraded to the previous tier and weapon. Two power-ups are located around the map. The first resembles a golden gun and advances the player's weapon tier by two. The second is a blue heart which increases a player's health by 50% and allows for health overcharge. If players make it to the third tiebreaker round, they are teleported to the top of the map and fight to the death using the tier 10 hammer.

Alpha Packs

As with other events, M.U.T.E. Protocol: Flesh & Metal features limited-time Alpha Packs containing Headgear, Uniforms, Weapon Skins, Attachment Skin, Charms, and Operator Cards that are themed around the event. There are 75 cosmetics items in the M.U.T.E. Protocol collection. Aside from new cosmetics, all cosmetics that were available in the original M.U.T.E. Protocol event are also available. Packs are obtained through completing Ubisoft Connect challenges or by purchase with Renown or R6 Credits. If a bundle was purchased during the original event then the corresponding Operator Card will be granted for free.
