The M590A1 is a weapon featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. It is available for use by SAS Recruits and all SAS Operators.

Situations and Terrorist Hunt

In the Asset Protection Situation, the player plays as the operator Smoke equipped with an M590A1 and a SMG-11 as a sidearm. In both game modes, the White Masks often use the M590A1 as their preferred shotgun.

Overview

The M590A1 is, in general, the balanced all-rounder of pump-action shotguns. Decent in damage and mid-ranged combat, the M590A1 is a useful pick, especially considering that it's available to all Operators within their CTU, being, the SAS. The recoil is manageable and the pump cycle is reasonably quick, though not nearly as quick as the GSG 9's M870.

Trivia

The weapon was called 591A1 in the Alpha versions of the game.
Curiously enough, in the Season 1 Pro League Weapon Skin, the M590A1 had an Angled Grip equipped on the weapon long before being officially introduced by Ubisoft, even though there's currently no grip for this shotgun.^[1]
