MAC11

The MAC-11 (Military Armament Corporation Model 11) is a subcompact variant of the MAC-10 machine pistol. The MAC-11 is a machine pistol manufactured by the Military Armament Corporation that chambers the .380 ACP round.

There are two variants of the MAC-11 in the Rainbow Six universe. These variants are called the Mac11/9 and SMG-11.

The MAC-11 is categorized as a submachine gun in the Rainbow Six franchise. The Mac11/9 appears in both Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow, while the SMG-11 only appears in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. The MAC-11 appears in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Lockdown, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas, and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. Note: Vegas 2 renamed the MAC 11 to M11, which does not make it a separate variant.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield

The Mac11/9 is a weapon featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow

The MAC 11/9 is a weapon featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow.

The MAC-11 in-game can be used as a primary and secondary weapon. If the weapon is used as a primary, the weapon will be equipped with a suppressor and the folding stock of the weapon will be extended. If used a secondary, the weapon will not have a suppressor, and the stock will be folded. The player could hold both configurations in both weapon slots. Terrorists use both configurations as well.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Lockdown

The MAC-11 is a weapon featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Lockdown.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas

The MAC 11 is a weapon featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas.

Story and Terrorist Hunt

The firearm does not have a fire selector and is only limited to full auto fire exclusively. It's a rather forgettable SMG due to its high muzzle climb because of the full auto fire, and mediocre stats.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2

The M11 is a weapon featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. Since Vegas 1 and 2 share the same engine and models, the weapon appears in the same configuration as its Vegas 1 counterpart.

Story and Terrorist Hunt

The M11 is once again forgettable, due to its high muzzle climb, and recoil. The rate of fire is very high, though, so it is favored in very close quarters combat.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

"Small sized submachine gun with a high rate of fire. Lethal package in disciplined hands."
— In-game description

The SMG-11 is a weapon featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. It is available for use by the SAS Recruits and the Operators Sledge and Smoke.

Situations

In the Asset Protection Situation, the player plays as the operator Smoke equipped with an M590A1 and an SMG-11 as a sidearm. It has a Reflex Sight and a Compensator as its attachments.

Overview

The SMG-11 is a fast firing but unstable weapon, as it's recoil is, by all means, all over the place. This means that while it thrives in close quarters, it's incredibly difficult to control at long range without tap firing, which is virtually impossible due to its incredibly high fire rate.

Advantages

  • Highest rate of fire in the game.
  • Potent damage model.

Disadvantages

  • High recoil.

Trivia

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 1 & 2

  • The M11 in-game is modelled after a semi-auto civilian variant of the MAC-11. The closed bolt of the weapon is the telltale sign.
  • There is a strange animation that plays when attaching a suppressor to the weapon. The suppressor is not actually screwed to the barrel's threading and is rather put a small distance before it. When the player takes off the suppressor, the suppressor is seen being threaded correctly off the barrel, even though it was never there in the first place.
  • If a player aims down the sights of the M11, the sights are actually misaligned. The rear sight is too far down, and in reality, this would mean that shot placement would be higher than where you aimed.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

  • The SMG-11 has a side-folding stock that is similar to the one on a Mini Uzi, instead of the telescopic stock used on a regular MAC-11.
  • The name of the SMG-11 is a reference to Watch_Dogs, another game developed by Ubisoft.
  • The SMG-11 in reality fires in an open bolt configuration, meaning that one in the chamber would be impossible, unlike the in-game counterpart, which holds one in the chamber. This error is shared with other guns with an open-bolt configuration.
