MIA Rescue Protocol Guidelines: Classified Top
Priority Level Alpha.
MIA Rescue protocol is activated if an Operator fails to exfiltrate the Chimera biome during an Incursion. (Cross-Ref: Safety measures /REACT Foam)

MIA Rescue requires that the Operator(s) locate a Chimera Archaean Tree to free the trapped Operator and ensure their safe return to the Extraction Pod. During the incubation process, Chimera Archæan Tree roots will actively work to pierce the Operator's REACT Foam protective shell.

Use caution when targeting the anchor points of the tree's root system and when targeting the tendrils. Interference will trigger a constriction response (QUERY: "tug-of-war") and any destruction will only be temporary.

Once the downed Operator is freed they must be immediately transported to an Extraction Pod.

Once safely aboard the Pioneer, a REACT medical team will tend to the downed Operator. All returning Operators will be designated "Recovery" Status and assigned to the Recovery Med Bay. Here they will be monitored by a full medical team, including psychological support, at all times until deemed fit for action.

EXTRAPOLATIONS:
Speculating on role of Chimera Archæan Tree and incubation: Possibility of energy/nutrient absorption: Unknown. (INSERT: Mira - Maybe it's DNA-related? Could it be searching out genetic material to recombine with its own? @INDEX)

Paleobotanical investigation has determined the tree's unique flowering shares DNA with the prehistoric genus Strychnos. Dated 30 million years ago. (QUERY: strychnine)
