The MK46 is a derivative of the M249 machine gun. The MK46 is a light machine gun manufactured by FN Herstal that chambers the 5.56x45mm NATO round.[1]


The MK46 is categorized as a light machine gun in the Rainbow Six universe. The MK46 appears in both Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2.

  • The MK46 is Michael Walter's signature weapon in both games.
  • Like the M249 SPW, the sights are misaligned in both games.
  • The foregrip is always equipped on the MK46 by default in both games, and the game does not count grips as attachments.
