The MP5/10 is a variant of the MP5 chambered for the 10mm Auto round, designed in 1991 and manufactured from 1992 to 2000 by Heckler and Koch. The MP5/10 was designed and tested to replace the 9x19mm Parabellum round of the regular MP5, due to the round being unabe to penetrate modern body armor. The MP5/10 was never formally adopted by the time it was discontinued from production in 2000.
In the Rainbow Six universe, the MP5/10 is colloquially known as the "Rainbow weapon". There are also two variants of the MP5/10 that exist. These variants are the MP5/10A2, and MP5/10SD. The MP5/10SD is a suppressed variant of the MP5/10A2.
The MP5/10, MP5/10A2 and MP5/10SD are all categorized as submachine guns in the Rainbow Six franchise.

HK MP5/10A2[]
The HK MP5/10A2 is a weapon featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear.
The HK MP5/10A2 is a product-improved variant of the venerable HK MP5 chambered for a 10mm round. The increased stopping power of the heavier round is offset by increased recoil. It is equipped with a single and full auto trigger group.
HK MP5/10SD[]
The HK MP5/10SD is a weapon featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear.
An HK MP5/10SD equipped with a sound suppressor gives a nice mix between power and silence. Because the suppression is not integral (like the MP5SD), the suppression is not quite as complete.
