I apologize for being so long winded about the Trivia on the SPAS 12 and 15, I already talked to Awy about being more brief and keeping it relevant. I realized it was way too long and began to shorten it right as you compacted it, so I was moving to fix it, albeit it seems even what I solved wouldn't have been to y'all's liking.
Genuinely, I'm sorry. Firearms are my biggest passion and I sometimes go into long tangents without realizing it.
No, I get it. Really, a lot of the things you said would be better suited to be described on the Gun Wiki, with appropriate references of course. As you should've gathered by now, the main concern here is to point what's wrong with the gun to its real-life counterpart, rather than going on about the history. There are other avenues for that.
Rule of thumb: if you can't explain something in, at most, three sentences or less, or perhaps it can't be explained without making multiple bullet points, some of it is likely unimportant to the context of the page, or subpage.
Perhaps I should look on Gun Wiki. Just so happens I'm a huge Siege player and I like learning about the lore, and I see the section on firearms seems a bit bare. Like on most wikis, you learn something about the subject that usually isn't obvious in game, and it seems a lot of them lacked that extra little fun fact. Either way, if I edit from here on out, I'll keep your 3 sentence rule in mind.
Hey Kaiser. Categories should be level based meaning that each category should feed into a higher category. For example, all Weapons of R6 Siege Operation... should feed into Weapons of R6 Siege. All weapons, however, should also be categorized under Weapons of R6 Siege and the weapon type. I've noticed that many of the new weapons are missing this indication. This would also extend to Operators, maps, etc.
Hi Kaiser. While I am no longer an active contributor, I have been made the Fandom Wiki Manager for the Rainbow Six Wiki. My role is to help you and the community and be a liaison to full-time Fandom staff. Please let me know if you have any questions and feel free to leave a message on my wall.
Here are some handy links for help with wiki features:
I tried sending this earlier but I am not seeing it actually went through... I had asked how I can identify content as spam, specifically comments being left on operators' pages, and what I should be doing about this content. What is the difference between spam and just a silly comment? If the comment is seen as spam, should I delete it as such, or would it be classified as something else on the deletion page? Thank you.
Thanks. One other thing, is there like a private chat for the admins? I just think these message walls aren't necessarily private, and it'd be helpful to talk to everyone to get multiple opinions over something.
Hi, Kaiser, sorry to bother you, but can you change the protection level for Operation Grim Sky and Operation Wind Bastion so that registered users can edit it? Were the pages protected because the operation was released? I have also done a lot of work on reworking the Operator pages into past tense.
