  • Hi, I want to make a suggestion for attachment images. (I can't implement the suggestion myself because I currently do not have access to the R6S game) In Rainbow Six Siege, some of the weapons have special models for their attachments which they technically share with other weapons. For example, the Spetsnaz guns have a unique ACOG model, different guns have different suppressor models, and Operation Burnt Horizon added a few new models for the Australian guns too. Would it be possible to take screencaps of the individual models of attachments as they appear on different weapons?

    • Thanks for the suggestion. Yeah, Ubi started to add actual new models of attachments for new weapons and some are very different looking from default ones. It's possible, just need to make list of weapons with unique attachments and free time to capture them. This new UI update (with white backgrounds and all that) and changes to weapon/skin/charm viewer do some wonky stuff for some attachments though.

  • Are you sure about it being the same? It has a different name in-game than Cap's. Also looks a bit different, too. Not to mention it having different options for attachments(I think, I know for sure the ACOG is different, maybe some others). I think we should at least do the same thing for it as the Six12 page where you can view the Six12 and the Six12 SD. And then also add a trivia section to the page and state the differences between Grid's and Cap's.

ah well we should all probably just wait until rouge-9 (god bless that man) does our job for us and actually determine how different it is, you know ubi has a tendency to lie in the stats screen, and if any stats are different we should make it seperate or something

ay and also just a thought, but it would be super cool to be able to browse through all the guns and all the other info in a similar format to R6's menus. you could look at character's 3D models, skins for guns, all that stuff. IDK if it's even possible, but i think everyone would love that. hell maybe if enough people ask for it we can get ubi to do it themselves and add some sort of gallery to the R6S website.

    • other stuff to add/fix

P10 RONI uses the same red dot sight as the other full auto secondaries and has a unique holo sight, should probably mention that on its page

Jackal's PDW9 is the only gun in the game that does more damage the farther away you are, should probably mention that in its page

pulse's gadget isn't in the heartbeat sensor page

you get a visual notification now when you are inside the range of a mute jammer as a defender

dokkaebi's calls now last 18 seconds, phones can be automatically turned off by mute jammers, and if in range of a mute jammer, Dokka can't call you

      more to come

also just a offhand thought, Ubi should really make it so that all operators have names that can be shortened to one or two syllables so it's easy to say. Montagne > Monty, Caveira > Cav, Capitao > Cap, but i can't find a way to shorten Dokkaebi without it sounding weird. It just feels weird saying after killing her "doke's dead" or "dokka's dead", idk why but it just does man

      dammit ubi

    • This info is going to be added for sure, no worries. I'm closing this thread though if "M249" thing is resolved or discussion was useful. Don't use my wall as "things to do". There's a lot of new information which was dumped by Ubi in that reveal, so it's expected to be added, just not as fast - wiki is a community project, everyone can add that info - just make sure to be inline with how it was done in older pages and provide source. For example, I'm waiting for official "Operation Burnt Horizon" website to launch to use as reference and Test Server.

  • So I'm doing something with the rather lacklustre map pages of Siege, starting with the most notorious of the maps, Favela. Trying to add more detail and overall substance in an effort to make it a bit more palatable. Just putting it out there.

  • Hello Medlone.

After proper thinking, and then some busy days, the thought had come to me.

I noticed my counterarguments were not aligning with yours, and that in some respect they were subjective, so essentially made my arguments not so friendly to deal with. I apologize for that.

To get to the point, I agree now that your idea of Synergy/Counter would work better than what I am pressing for.

What I was trying to "compete" for was more detailed descriptions. However, what I really wanted at the core was to also not build a guide, but more of an outline of base stats. This meant my "suggestions" went out the window, as they were subjective and as you mentioned are better done on a guide. On the other end, I do want to push for giving Operators stats of their gadget, which could get lengthy but would grant viewers an essential blueprint of how the gadgets work. These elements are important and shouldn't be over-simplified.

If you have any squabbles with what I'm stating above, please let me know. I once again apologize for my stubbornness of before.

  • Hey, can you add 707th SMB and new Tower map to navigation menu? I can't find how to do it, or perhaps I'm not allowed to do so. By the way, I'm adding new pictures with licencing, thanks for teaching how!

  • Hey again. If and when this particular navbox turns out a bit... messy and a bit muddled, should we change it from a CTU categorisation to that of a Year theme? Like, put Release Operators in the first Category and categorise that into Attackers on the Top and Defenders on the bottom, then Year One in the second and Year Two into the third one in a similar way? And put the coloured themes of the overall year (e.g. Gold for Year One, Obsidian or Carbon Fibre for Year Two)? Maybe not now, I'm just saying, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the current one probably won't look as good in the long run.

      Loading editor
    • You mean like this? (I didn't applied colors there because it doesn't look good or I couldn't find best solution there)

I don't like it to be honest. But it might be the only solution in case of Years 3+. I still like the idea of CTUs, but they really start to take too much space (Yeah, I tried already), so... we'll see. I'll experiment with it to find good result.

        Loading editor
    • The last one looks aesthetically pleasing with the CTU's country flags being displayed under the listed operators.

Also I created two pages about the two game mechanics within rainbow six siege do not know if I should continue improving those articles or let someone else do it.

    • Okay. So far, I like the new look for the DLC navbox. That being said, is it possible for a similar aesthetic to be utilised for the Operator navbox?

        Loading editor
    • I don't think it will be good to hide any operator under collapsible table since it's pretty important information. I changed DLC one because it has an "ongoing" status and names for older operations are not really important for player's knowledge.

Operator navbox just needs to be less vertical and use horizontal space more (and I got one idea for that). So... DLC one is not universal, but more like for hiding unnecessary information. I'll be experimenting more after I setup my sandbox, so you all can see what I have in mind.

  • So, I just found this.

    The REAL gun damage output/spreadsheet

I think this will help a lot. What do you think?

      Loading editor
    • Yeah... nice find! Since it's not possible to extract data from game... maybe he tried every combination possible with his friend(s) in custom game, very dedicated research. Those damage values against every kind of armor can be added to infoboxes. DPS and STK (shots to kill) are unnecessary imo. Also, there are more than 5 different range values to feature different damage, so... maybe it will be okay to just put "Damage falloff" range instead of doing all of them with armor multiplier in mind.

  • Do you think the PARA-308 should get a separate page? I'm saying this because it seems to be considered a separate weapon on Wikipedia.

Also, do you think there can be an estimated rate of fire for the semi-auto and pump-action weapons? Because that would probably help a lot.

      Loading editor
    • I have that in my "todo" list. And the reason for the new page is not Wikipedia, but the weapon being different - like ITA12L and ITA12S. I'll try to come up with complete overview like in Vector .45 ACP page for PARA-308, might take time.

As of estimated ROF - that would be nice. I thought all semi-auto rifles were 260 RPM (universal ROF), but that buff for Glaz changed his rifle's ROF. Do SA shotguns and PA shotguns have different ROFs too? If only Symthic wasn't just about BF...

Now I'm not good at data but with personal experience with the weapons in-game I can safely say that the rate of fire difference between S.A are slightly different not massive at the least bit

A M1014 and a SPAS-15 are only seperated by a 10-20 ROF difference but with P.A Shotguns like the M870 vs the Supernova there ROF changes are extreme like a 50-75 difference.

Maybe none of this is true, you can figure it out

For the record, yes. For example, SASG-12 and SPAS-15 most definitely have faster semi-auto rates of fire than most shotguns.
