A Motion Detector is an electrical device that utilizes a sensor to detect nearby motion. Such a device is often integrated as a component of a system that automatically performs a task or alerts a user of motion in an area. Motion sensors appear in several installments of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Franchise.

Vegas 2[edit | edit source]

The Motion Sensor is a gadget featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2.

Upon successful placement, a laser tripwire is deployed. When tripped by enemy players, their position is alerted by all teammates by a notable chime. Sensors can be destroyed with either gunfire or explosives.

Siege[edit | edit source]

Proximity Alarm is a secondary gadget featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege that was introduced in the Operation Steel Wave expansion.[1]

Once thrown, the gadget will emit an alarm once an enemy enters its 4 meter radius, alerting Defenders to their general location. The Proximity Alarm activates as soon as the effective radius is reached, taking only one second to activate. The alarm the device makes is a beeping noise that can be heard by both Attackers and Defenders. A HUD icon will appear on Attackers who enter the Proximity Alarm's radius.
