Operation Archer is a mission in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Lockdown. It is the tenth mission on Xbox and the twelfth mission on the PlayStation 2. Its PC counterpart is Desert Village.

The mission sees Chavez and his team defying NATO orders and attempting to rescue Dieter Weber after he was captured following his helicopter crash.

Briefing[edit | edit source]

John Clark - They got Weber. His chopper was shot down by Amidan's men and it looks like they're taking him into the Sahara. He was wearing a tracking indicator but we lost him a short while ago. Maybe they found it or maybe he's underground and we can't get the signal anymore.

Thermal imagery of the area indicates a small village in a box canyon in the desert. This is probably their destination. We've got multiple heat signatures from people and vehicles. Intel believes that Amidan stores his equipment in tunnels under the village.

NATO studied the situation carefully. According to their analysts, sending you after Weber will result in losing the whole team. In our business, the primary advantage is surprise. We don't have that edge here. They're expecting us. Weber knew the risks. We all do. Its part of the job. Im sorry, that's all. Return to Hereford immediately. Six out.
