Operation Silent Mare is the ninth mission in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Take-Down – Missions in Korea. It was added in patch 1.03 without any voices.

Mission Objective[]

Your task is to get inside the building, install a surveillance camera at the entrance of the ballroom on the second floor, and move safely to the extraction zone. Be careful not to be seen by the enemy. You must disable the alarm before entering the building.

Briefing[]

Cho Hyung-Jin - Last summer RAINBOW was in Korea. The reason I called you again was because of another international terrorist incident in Korea.
The following information is available on this case. The place where the incident occurred is the VIP-only accommodation at the top of the ski area in Gangwon-do, and it is completely blocked from the outside to be called a natural fortress.
When the first negotiation attempt of the police negotiator broke down, the police SWAT team attempted to enter about two hours ago, but as they penetrated the entrance, they faced strong resistance from the enemy and eventually four members of the team retreated and died.
The negotiations team tried to reopen the negotiations by asserting that the criminals were behaving solely on the basis of the SWAT team's unconventional judgment, but they are now breaking contact with the outside world.
However, it is estimated that they did not install bombs throughout the building because they did not have any further disposal of hostages or ignition of bombs.
The fact that the Korean police commandos failed in their operations shows that they were professionally trained in terrorism. The incident is related only to the problems in Korea. Therefore, first of all, we must clearly understand the current movements of terrorists. I want to get into the hotel where the hostages are currently held and get accurate information about them.

John Clark - At the fifth ASEAN-ROK-Japan Summit held in Borneo in November 2002, the President of the Republic of Korea raised the issue of setting up a free trade zone in East Asia and actively accepted the plan at the East Asia Summit held in the summer of 2003. It was decided to do so.
In accordance with this decision, governments planned to contact practitioners for the realization of this plan as soon as possible, and on December 20, 2003, trade practitioners from each country visited and adopted implementation proposals.
However, rallies and demonstrations of anarchists against this globalization have continued in each country. The GFAO (Government Free Activist Organization), known as the most radical of the anarchist groups, is known to have controlled the armed demonstrations at the G7 Summit and the ASEM meetings to date.
At the meeting of the ASEAN Nationals' Workers, their intervention continued, and this time they carried out a direct terror attack rather than being behind.
The United Nations and the world's intelligence agencies have been identifying this organization behind the military demonstrations, but they have sent RAINBOW to resolve the case involving senior executives in each country, asserting the GFAO as a terrorist group.

Mission Orders[]

The building is equipped with an alarm system. Dismantle the front door alarm before entering. Install a surveillance camera to detect enemy movements. Move to the withdrawal area after completing the mission.
