The P229 is a handgun featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. It was introduced in the Operation Red Crow expansion pack and is available for use by both SAT Operators.
Overview
The SIG-Sauer P229 is a compact semi-automatic pistol. It can be chambered in 9x19mm, .40 S&W or .357 SIG.
In-game, this handgun is similar to its full-sized counterpart, the P226 Mk 25, as both share a similar damage model. This makes it a viable close ranged quarters secondary. A downside is its rather mediocre magazine capacity for its damage model, topping up at 12 bullets with an additional bullet in the chamber, along with only four full magazines to work with in PVP.
