The P90 is a compact bullpup PDW (Personal Defense Weapon) designed in the 1990s and manufactured by FN Herstal that chambers the 5.7x28mm round. The P90 was made as the companion weapon to the Five-seveN, since they both chamber the same round. The P90 features an integrated reflex sight and a unique magazine that holds 50 rounds, loads from the top and ejects the casings out of the bottom of the weapon's stock.

The P90 TR, or the Triple Rail, is a variant with the integrate reflex sight removed, being replaced with a Picatinny rail. The P90 TR allows the attachment of alternative optics whereas the regular P90 could not.

The is featured in many installments of the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Franchise.

Rogue Spear[]

Two variants of the P90 were introduced to Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear in the Black Thorn expansion: the 5.7mm P90 SMG and 5.7mm P90 SD SMG. While both perform in the exact same way, the P90 SD SMG is equipped with a sound suppressor that uses a special, sub-sonic variant of the 5.7x28mm cartridge.

Siege[]

"GIGN high-capacity submachine gun that uses high-velocity ammunition. Best in close quarters."
— In-game description

The P90 is a submachine gun featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. It is available for use by Doc, Rook, and Solis.

Overview[]

Suited for close-range engagements, the P90 features a low damage per shot and a high fire rate that somewhat compensates for it. Due to its underwhelming body damage and TTK against all Armor Types, gunfights may be difficult if the player misses the headshot. The Extended Barrel will cause the P90 to deal the same amount of damage at any range. However, it is not recommended in most instances as the P90 has a rather unpredictable recoil pattern.

Pros[]

  • High rate of fire
  • High magazine capacity

Cons[]

  • Subpar horizontal recoil
  • Low damage per shot
