Private Airport is the second mission in the PSP version of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas.
Summary[]
Following the extraction of a hostage at Irena Morales' villa, Brian Armstrong and Shawn Rivers travel to a private airport owned by Morales. With information from the hostage, they make their way toward a hanger owned by an associate of Morales named Lucas Picares, engaging terrorists in several firefights along the way. At the hanger, they discover a biochemical lab, deducing that Picares is producing chemical weapons. They then recieve word from Joanna Torres that Picares has arranged for a plane to fly out of the airport. They arrive at the control tower and engage with several terrorists. As Armstong enters the tower to access the navigation computer, however, Rivers warns him of an incoming RPG. Armstrong manages to survive the explosion and accesses the computer. He patches into a radio transmission between Picares and an unknown man and learns that Picares is attempting to escape the airport.
Armstrong and Rivers return to the hangar and dispatch the remaining terrorists. Rivers corners the man he believes to be Picares and attempts to arrest him. The man refuses Rivers' orders and instead injects himself with a sample of Picares' bio-weapon, killing himself. Before he died, the man had stated that the same fate would soon befall all of the people of Las Vegas. Rainbow later learns the man who died was not Picares but a man named William Morrison. With no other leads, they depart the airport and travel to an office building leased by Morrison.
Briefing[]
Team Armstrong rescued a civilian hostage from the villa, but was unable to locate their Rainbow comrades. The tango leader, Lucas Picares, managed to escape, but he has been tracked to a private airport. Armstrong and Rivers are hurrying to this airport, to place Picares in custody and use him to find their missing men.
Section 1[]
Joanna Torres – You two will get into the airport via the junkyard on its periphery. The enemy will not be expecting small unit engagements, so stay alert for small groups and isolated patrols. There are lots of dark places you can use to spring an ambush. Your objectives are the same as at the villa: Find our missing Rainbow members, and gather any intel you can. The hostage you rescued described Lucas Picares, a known associate of Irena Morales. Find him and take him alive.
Section 2[]
Joanna Torres – We've received word of clusters of hostiles centered around the hangar belonging to one Lucas Picares. Brian, help Shawn get to that hanger and grab any intel you can. It'll be tough, but you two will be fine if you stay low and work together.
Section 3[]
Joanna Torres – Word's just come down - Picares has arranged for a plane to fly out of there, and he's well enough connected that our usual powers haven't even slowed it down. So it's up to you, guys - get to the control tower, find the navigation computer, and find out where that plane is going.
Section 4[]
Joanna Torres – Guys, get back to the hangar on the double. Satellite has spotted a team of tangos being led by a man we believe to be Picares. Picares has to be taken, alive. To help you with this, we've set up to cut the power, so be ready with your NVGs.
