The Proximity Alarm is a secondary gadget featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege that was introduced in the Operation Steel Wave expansion.[1]
Once thrown the Proximity Alarm will indicate its effective radius and must fill the radius in order to be activated. The gadget will emit an alarm once an enemy enters its 3 meter radius, alerting Defenders to their general location. The Proximity Alarm activates nearly as soon as the effective radius is reached, taking a short delay to activate. The alarm the device makes is a beeping noise that can be heard by both Attackers and Defenders. A HUD icon will appear on Attackers who enter the Proximity Alarm's radius. The Proximity Alarm's beeping can be heard a great distance away, even through surfaces.
