"FBI SWAT standard issue assault rifle. Highly customizable, for medium to long range conflict."
— In-game description

The R4-C is an assault rifle featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. It is available for use by FBI SWAT Recruits and the Operator Ash.

Situations and Terrorist Hunt

In the Suburban Extraction Situation, the player plays as a FBI SWAT Recruit equipped with an R4-C and a 5.7 USG as a sidearm.

Overview

The Remington GPC, also known as the R4, is an assault rifle derivative of the AR-15 assault rifle. The R4-C is a carbine variant of the original R4 assault rifle. The C in R4-C stands for Compact. The R4-C is a carbine assault rifle manufactured by Remington Arms that chambers the 5.56x45mm NATO round.

In-game, the R4-C is a fast firing assault rifle designed for close-to-mid range engagements, contrary to the quote above. It's high vertical recoil and rate of fire make this a difficult weapon to control without the appropriate attachments.

Pros

  • High rate of fire.
  • Best at close-to-mid range engagements.

Cons

  • High vertical recoil.
  • Difficulty to control at longer ranges.
