- "Customized machine pistol that is light, compact, and optimal at short range. Possesses a high rate of fire."
— In-game description
The SMG-12 is a machine pistol featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. It was introduced in the Operation White Noise expansion and is available for use by both 707th SMB Operators and the Secret Service Operator Warden.[1][2]
Overview
The SMG-12, being a version of the SAS SMG-11, has very similar statistics and functions very similarly to the former. However, unlike the former, it cannot equip barrel attachments, this is due to its integral suppressor. However, it can equip an Angled Grip.
Performance-wise, it is a fast-firing but unstable weapon, as its recoil is incredibly difficult to control. This means that while it thrives in close quarters, it struggles at long range without firing in controlled bursts, not helped by the fact of its incredibly high fire rate.
