Overview[]
The SPAS-12 is a powerful semi-automatic shotgun capable of taking out both Light and Medium Armored Operators with a single shell at its effective range, assuming at least four pellets hit the mark. An additional shell is required for Heavy Armored Operators, but as a semi-automatic shotgun, it will cycle the next shell relatively quickly.
The SPAS-12 is not the fastest firing semi-auto shotgun, but thanks to exactly that, it is much easier to control than most others.
Pros[]
- Average damage per pellet
- Minimal damage dropoff
- Very fast reload time
- Controllable recoil
Cons[]
- Subpar rate of fire

Trivia[]
- In Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear, the SPAS-12 in-game is incorrectly shown as being a select-fire semi-auto/full-auto shotgun when it should have a convertible pump-action/semi-auto fire.
- In Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas and its sequel, the stock is shown folded in the weapon screen, but the stock is seen unfolded in-game.
- In Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege, modeled with an 8+1 round tube magazine, but incorrectly feeds 6+1 rounds from it.
