Shutdown Protocol Guidelines:
Operator(s) is required to retrieve REACT canisters stored in extraction pods, as per the directive of Tactical Operations Department. Caution: REACT canisters are volatile and may explode if struck.
Operator(s) will then insert REACT canisters within the root system of Chimeran Nutrient Nodes. Protocol is required to control Nest propagation within the biome. Nests will continue to emerge if the Nutrient Node is not destroyed.
Each canister contains a chemical compound based on REACT Foam. RESULT: neutralization of Parasite replication.
Emergence of Nutrient Nodes within the Chimera biome is unpredictable. They appear to be a direct energy source for Chimera Nests. REACT Bio Lab suggests the process is driven by bioluminescent photosynthesis. (INSERT: IQ - It likely concerns many other factors we have yet to determine.)
Anecdotal reports of nutrient nodes and arch spines appearing fully formed are supported by REACT's hyperspectral sensor data. (Excerpt from civilian eyewitness account: "... and these glowing spines just erupted out of nowhere!")
