Specimen Protocol Guidelines:
The Operator(s) is required to capture a live alpha-rated specimen by luring it to a REACT trap. Act quickly! Activating the switch will arm the trap. Once a specimen is within the trap, REACT Foam is deployed. This will bind the specimen and prepare it for extraction.
The capture of a live specimen is a high-risk procedure to both the Operators and to staff aboard the Pioneer. Specimen Protocols must be strictly followed at all times in adherence with REACT Procedural Guidelines Sections R110 - R350. Once obtained, specimens are contained within Pioneer's BSL-6+ rated lab bay in sectors F - L. Only those with Clearance 10 are permitted within these sectors.
Specimen Protocol is an essential component within the REACT Science mandate to fully understand the Chimera threat. Extensive research on this complex organism has the potential to contribute to breakthroughs in biomedicine and technology.
