The Remington M870 MCS Breacher is a pump-action shotgun manufactured by Remington Arms. A variant of the M870, it is part of a the newer modular variants of the M870 which can be quickly modified with different barrels, magazine tubes, and stocks for different purposes, such as urban combat and door breaching. The Breacher model is the smallest MCS variant of the Model 870 with its 10 inch barrel and no stock. The Breacher is also commonly fitted to carbines such as the M4 to form the Masterkey system.

The weapon is featured in several installments of the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Franchise and is designated as the Super Shorty.

Trivia[]

  • The Super Shorty's model is based on the Remington 870 Modular Combat Shotgun (MCS) (specifically the compact "Masterkey" variant), a variant of the M870 that is mounted with a Cadex Defence removable stock butt adapter, rather than the actual Serbu Super-Shorty.
    • The in-game shotgun's capacity of 2+1 is correct for an actual Super Shorty, however, the real-life 870 MCS Masterkey has a capacity of 3+1 instead.
  • Originally, Mozzie had access to the Super Shorty. This was later removed as the Super Shorty was given to Castle in Operation Void Edge.
