GATEWAY is a containment system similar in function and design to the one regulating the Exit Portal aboard the Pioneer. Allows REACT personnel to safely access a Chimera Singularity anomaly.
GATEWAY was designed after an incident with an unbound Singularity. Three Operators (Alibi, Sledge, Vigil) disappeared and were presumed KIA after contact. (INSERT: Mira - It's like they didn't exist anymore... We thought they were dead.)
They reappeared on the Pioneer three weeks later confirming the link between the two phenomena. (QUERY: spatial-temporal anomaly?)

Singularities found in the field have been contained by a GATEWAY. Access is restricted by a biometric scanner.
