Operation Black Ice is the first expansion released for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. All content released is for free to players. It adds two new Operators from the Joint Task Force 2 CTU, featuring new weapons, abilities, and gameplay upgrades. They may be immediately unlocked for season pass owners or with R6 Credits. Otherwise they can be unlocked with 25,000 renown each.[1][2][3]
The expansion was originally slated to be released on January 5, 2016 for Season Pass owners and a week later for the rest of the community. Ubisoft later announced that the expansion's release would be delayed to February 2016.[4]
