Operation Vector Glare is the twenty-fifth expansion for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. It introduces a new operator, weapon, map for Team Deathmatch, and various gameplay improvements

It was revealed on May 22nd, 2022 and was made available on the Test Server on May 24th, 2022. The expansion was released worldwide on June 14th, 2022

I could never put my finger on it, but helping people is what fuels me. The training, the tinkering, the strategizing, I excel at it, yes, but it's not why I wanted to do this. My family taught me the value of empathy regardless of what divides us.

With Wolfguard, I am not alone. Each of them is also dedicated to making the world a better place, and I'm happy to be a part of that. We're already on the field and rescuing people. I'm on missions with the elite, because I'm also one of the elite.

With the architectural blueprints acquired, we move on Nighthaven. I can't imagine why they would do what the others say, but I wasn't here to see what kind of people they are. I trust that we know what we're doing. I have to help minimize the damage.

The expansion features its own Battle Pass. It was released on June 14th, 2022 and was available until September 5th, 2022. It is composed of 100 tiers across a Free and Premium track. Each tier rewards players with exclusive customization items, Alpha Packs, Bravo Packs, currency packs, and boosters for a total of 135 rewards.

Premium Track

The Premium track costs 1200 and offers a 30% boost to Battle Pass Progression. A Pass Bundle can be purchased for 2670 and automatically unlocks the first 20 tiers.

Trivia

• It was formally announced on February 20th, 2022 during the Six Invitational 2022.
• It is the first expansion since Operation Neon Dawn to use the term "Operation" in its title.
• The expansion was originally set to release on June 7th, 2022 but was delayed due a player experience issue encountered during testing.
• With the release of the Shooting Range, this is the second time since Operation Chimera that there have been three separate AI factions: Unidentified Terrorists, White Masks, and Dummies.
  • However, it wasn't until the release of Operation Heavy Mettle that the Dummies would be aggressive towards the player.
