Wolfguard is a specialized squad of Team Rainbow. Led by Gustave "Doc" Kateb, the squad was established by Harry "Six" Pandey following a restructuring of Rainbow.

Described as the world’s foremost humanitarian military unit, Wolfguard is known for its compassionate and careful approach. It’s a sound choice for high-visibility operations that occur in close proximity with civilian populations where collateral damage is not an option. Most of its members are trained in field medicine and specialize in protection of some kind.

Specialist Gustave “Doc” Kateb leads this squad, having good relationships with his subordinates and an immaculate image with world governments and the press. While he and the rest of Wolfguard were brought together to apply their skills in sensitive missions for the good of all, their popularity cannot be overlooked. It will always be a factor for their deployment.

History[]

Following the defection of Nighthaven in early 2022 and the notable increase of criminal activity around the world, Harry Pandey decided to reorganize Rainbow's operating structure into four squads, each having a specialized role. Wolfguard was established to become the world's foremost humanitarian military unit, undertaking missions where collateral damage is not an option. Gustave "Doc" Kateb was chosen to lead the unit.

Operation Vector Glare[]

Doc's first act as squad leader was to send Gilles "Montagne" Touré and Emmanuelle "Twitch" Pichon to Belgium to recruit Ngoma "Sens" Mutombo. Sens then trained with Montagne and Olivier "Lion" Flament to become familiar with their capabilities for the upcoming Operation Vector Glare. With Doc and Twitch acting as mission control, the mission involved the rescue of a Nighthaven employee known as The Architect who was being held hostage at a refinery by local militia. It was believed he held schematics to Nighthaven's headquarters in Singapore which were needed in order to infiltrate the facility to investigate Nighthaven's involvement in Masayuki Yahata's assassination. After engaging various members of the militia, the three of them managed to rescue the architect and rendezvous with the rest of Wolfguard.

Wolfguard subsequently treated The Architect's wounds and convinced him to give them schematics of Nighthaven's headquarters. With Ghosteyes squad leading the facility's infiltration, Sens expressed concern about The Architect's safety, saying that they were worried Ghosteyes would just use him as a disposable tool. Unable to convince them otherwise, Doc allowed Sens to accompany The Architect and Nøkk to Nighthaven's headquarters.
